Our goal is to understand the neural mechanisms of learning
We use theory-inspired behavioral tasks combined with modern methods for recording and manipulating brain activity to explore how animals integrate new information with previous knowledge and use that to guide behavior. Our research focuses on how basal ganglia and frontal cortex circuits support different types of learning, with a special interest in latent learning and higher-order associations.
We believe that the ideal lab environment fosters well-being, mutual support, creativity, and integrity. Every team member receives individualized mentoring and has the agency to shape the development of their own work. We strive to create an inclusive environment for high-quality, innovative, and hypothesis-driven research.
